Affiliation Discount for Pierce Students
The “Affiliation Discount for Pierce Alumni” program provides 50% tuition reduction and is awarded to Pierce graduates who have completed all three years of Lyceum at Pierce.
Eligibility Requirements
- Meet all entrance requirements for Deree.
- Be a graduate of Pierce having completed all three years of Lyceum at Pierce.
- Have no outstanding financial obligations at Pierce.
Requirements to maintain the reduction:
A. Bachelor degree-seeking students
The reduction is awarded for 6 continuous years provided that recipients:
- achieve a minimum Cumulative Index (CI) of 3.00/4.00 by the completion of 30 undergraduate academic credits and maintain this CI until graduation. (Prior to the completion of the 30 undergraduate academic credits, the CI must be at least 2.00/4.00).
- earn passing grade(s) in EAPP courses if they are under the English for Academic Purposes Program.
- register for successive Fall and Spring semesters for at least 2 courses per semester and maintain this course load throughout each semester.
- be in compliance with all College policies including the Student Conduct Code.
B. Certificate minor-seeking students or non-degree students
The reduction is awarded for 3 continuous years provided that recipients:
- achieve a CI of 3.00/4.00 by the end of their first term (either semester or session) at Deree and maintain this CI until graduation.
- earn passing grade(s) in EAPP courses if they are under the English for Academic Purposes Program
- register for successive Fall and Spring semesters for at least 1 course per semester and maintain this course load throughout each semester.
- be in compliance with all College policies including the Student Conduct Code.
In case of Pierce graduates who are awarded a Deree Merit Scholarship, the Pierce Affiliation reduction will be adjusted so that the total tuition reduction will amount to no more than 50% of tuition. In such cases, the eligibility requirements for the continuation of the reductions will be those of the Pierce Affiliation Program (as stated above).
No application procedure is required unless interested students wish to file for additional need-based financial assistance.
