Michael Anagnos Schools Scholarships
One scholarship awarded periodically, 100% tuition reduction Open to entering degree-seeking students only
Intent of the Award
This endowment scholarship was established in 1987 by the trustees of the Michael Anagnos Schools to provide educational opportunities for an incoming student from Epirus.
Extent of the Award
The Michael Anagnos Schools Scholarship provides 100% tuition reduction for the duration of the recipient’s studies at the College, which may not exceed the period of 4.5 continuous years. It is awarded on a rotating basis; a new student is selected after the previous recipient has graduated. The scholarship is awarded in either the fall or the spring semester.
Eligibility Requirements
In order to be considered, the applicant must:
- meet all requirements for admission to the College
- be a native of Epirus (proof of birthplace is required)
- have completed his/her secondary education at a Greek lyceum with a high school grade of 17 and above (or equivalent); preference will be given to students who have graduated from a lyceum in the designated area(s)
- demonstrate financial need
To continue receiving the award, the recipient must be a full-time student (12 credits or more) per continuous semesters and achieve a Cumulative Index (CI) of 2.7 or better by the end of the second semester of study. This CI (or higher) must be maintained while receiving the award, the duration of which may not exceed the period 4.5 continuous years (unless otherwise specified). In addition, the recipient must be in compliance with all College policies including the Student Conduct Code.
Among equally qualified candidates, the one demonstrating the greatest financial need will be selected.
