P&G Scholarships & Housing for non-Attica students
We are delighted to inform you that P&G Hellas will support the “Housing in ACG residences for Greek students from out of Attica” program.
P&G Hellas will undertake the full annual fees of the housing component for two entering Deree students sharing a double room so that they attend both fall/spring semesters and the summer session I in the respective year. Both students will be referenced as P&G Hellas Scholars.
P&G is committed to help provide the experience and comforts of home where needed. Moreover they believe that in today’s challenging environment, helping young students and their families to access quality education, explore their full potential in a stimulating environment and pursue their dream is more important than ever for the future of our country.
P&G Hellas’ partnership with The American College of Greece (ACG), to support our “Housing in ACG residences for Greek students from out of Attica” program is greatly appreciated as it will alleviate student family budgets and will provide value added experience in a safe, comfortable, enriching environment as well as access to a world of opportunities and holistic student experiences with a full range of co-curricular and extra-curricular programs at Deree.
Eligibility Requirements:
In order to be considered, the applicant must:
- be an entering DEREE student
- meet all requirements for admission to the College
- be registered along with his/her parents, in a municipality outside the greater Attica region (within Greece). Proof of residence is required.
- demonstrate financial need
- show academic promise – merit
To continue receiving the award, the recipient must:
- achieve a minimum average of 3.00/4.00 in his/her cumulative index (CI) by the end of his/her first academic year at the college and maintain this minimum CI thereafter
- register continuously for the Fall and Spring semesters for at least 4 courses (12 credit hours or more) per semester and maintain this minimum course load throughout the semesters. If for whatever reason he/she is unable to do so, the Financial Assistance & Planning Office must be informed in writing. It is also preferred that recipients register for at least one course for Summer Session I
- be in compliance with all College policies including the Student Conduct Code
- submit a “thank you” letter within the deadline set by the Office of Development & Alumni Relations
Among equally qualified candidates, the one demonstrating the greatest financial need will be selected.
