The Aldous Family Accessibility Expendable Scholarship

One scholarship awarded periodically, 100% tuition reduction.

Open to entering degree-seeking Deree students.

Intent of the Award

“The Aldous Family Accessibility Expendable Scholarship” was established in 2023 through the generosity of Alexandros Aldous, Pierce (’98) alumnus), in honor of his mother, Dr. Eleftheria Bernidaki-Aldous, Pierce alumna (‘70), who is blind. The scholarship offers aid to a promising entering Deree student who is legally blind and demonstrates good academic promise.

The scholarship is offered for the scholar’s entire period of studies at Deree, up to five academic years. A new scholar is selected only when the previous scholar has graduated, changed academic institution or does not maintain his/her academic and personal performance and as long as there is a sufficient balance.
