One scholarship awarded periodically, 100% tuition reduction.
Open to entering degree-seeking Deree students.
“The Aldous Family Accessibility Expendable Scholarship” was established in 2023 through the generosity of Alexandros Aldous, Pierce (’98) alumnus), in honor of his mother, Dr. Eleftheria Bernidaki-Aldous, Pierce alumna (‘70), who is blind. The scholarship offers aid to a promising entering Deree student who is legally blind and demonstrates good academic promise.
“The Aldous Family Accessibility Expendable Scholarship” provides full-tuition coverage to one Deree entering degree seeking student who is legally blind, based on his/her academic performance. The scholarship is offered for the scholar’s entire period of studies at Deree, up to five academic years. A new scholar is selected only when the previous scholar has graduated, changed academic institution or does not maintain his/her academic and personal performance and as long as there is a sufficient balance.
