The educational aims of the Environmental Studies minor are to provide students with a deeper knowledge of the current global environmental issues, concerns, and available solutions; moreover, to help them develop cognitive, practical and transferrable skills needed in pursuing either a green and sustainability-related career, or graduate studies in environment-related fields.

Environmental Studies is an interdisciplinary field that examines the multiple dimensions of environmental issues, in an increasingly complex world, and provides sustainable solutions, as well as  mitigation and adaptation options to address the global problems at multiple levels, environmental, social, economic, and political.
