The Minor in Cinema Studies complements your major studies by enhancing your production and critical thinking skills. 

 

• Select courses in screenwriting, directing, documentary or short film production to gain the creative, practical, and technical skills necessary to build a portfolio of work. 

• Select courses in digital storytelling, digital compositing, sound design, or cinematography to gain valuable media production skills and technical proficiency in video and media production. 

• Select courses in film history, film theory and philosophy, and World, American or Greek cinema to broaden your knowledge and understanding of film movements and styles across the history of international cinema.

The Cinema Studies program invites students from diverse disciplinary backgrounds to assess and assimilate ways of studying cinema, its history, aesthetics and practice.
